Precision Micro, Inc. is an Olympus Authorized Service Dealer. We also service other makes such as Nikon, Leica, Zeiss, Reichert, Meiji, Wolfe, Fischer, Unico, Accuscope, Swift, American Optical upon other makes. Our servicemen are trained to maintain the microscopes and make sure each instrument meets factory specifications.
Our Preventive Maintenance Service Includes:
1) Cleaning of all external optical components.
2) Remove old lubrication and re-lubricate mechanical stage and sub stages.
3) Cleaning of all mechanical components and resetting of all mechanical parts.
4) Adjustments (if necessary) made to mechanical stage, sub stages, coarse and fine focus system, condenser and auto-stops to bring the instrument to manufacturer’s standards.
5) All optics: objectives, eyepieces, base mirrors will be checked and parfocaled.
6) All illumination systems will be checked for proper, even illumination and for voltage continuity.
7) Instrument will be checked to be sure it is level and adjusted as necessary.
8) Service label affixed to each instrument, showing date and next service due date.
9) All microscopes will be inventoried and written on service reports and a copy will be given to the laboratory manager.
Parts and repairs, if needed are additional and will be quoted at time of service visit and a separate Purchase Order will be needed or we suggest a Repair/Parts Allowance to be added to the Purchase Order in case this event occurs.

Repairs
Our servicemen can repair mostly any microscope and part, and can even restore an old microscope putting it in good working condition. We keep an inventory of most common parts in our shop. We also keep a large supply of bulbs in our shop as well and will gladly send you a quote upon your request. If we don't have the parts/bulbs your microscope requires, we will place an order and have it between 2-4 weeks depending on availability.
Loaner instruments are available in the event that an instrument must be removed from premises to our shop to complete a repair.
